A gathering place
As pointed out to me, the term “homosexuality” is antiquated and perhaps offensive. I used the term with the idea that it would be somehow a response piece to other religious texts on the subject, but I think the next time I make some posts I will definitely be going back through my posts and editing to use more queer community friendly terms.
I am grateful to the follower who pointed it out, and would like to reiterate that I have been an ally of the community for many years and support all of the amazing LGBTQ services on Rutgers Campus and am STILL learning!
This is important, because those on the outside of something should respect the wishes of those on the inside, those who own the movement.
As such I think I will use the terms that THEY prefer rather than those that religious discourses use, as I originally thought proper.
THANK YOU ALL FOR THE LESSONS
