THIS is incredibly important in our practices as Buddhist converts. We are living a religion that is not predominant in our culture, and we must therefore be mindful of and willing to learn from the practices of other cultures around the world, and always keep educated!
The vast majority of Buddhists are NOT WHITE, and their people and cultures have been the keepers of this magnificent tradition that we now get to be a part of.
So do not feel offense when someone from a traditionally Buddhist background points out something in your practice, and do not be shy or ashamed to speak to them about your own.
